Liu Ch’ung was a Chinese emperor that was featured in a episode of “Ripley’s Believe it or Not!” because he had two irises/pupils in each of his eyeballs.It’s basically a condition that is called “pupula duplex” — which means in Latin: “double pupil”.
Uveal coloboma occurs in the iris (the coloured part of the eye). It gives a keyhole look to the iris, usually before the child is born.
The earliest known encounter with Black Eyed Kids took place in 1996 and was described by Brian Bethel, a veteran journalist and columnist at Reporter-News.

Pupula duplex: An extremely rare condition where there are two pupils in one eye. Well, that's correct, though the term “pupula duplex” is practically non-existent in modern medical literature. A condition known as polycoria does exist. Polycoria, having two pupils in the iris, is a real condition, but it does not look like the photo on the left (a Photoshop job). It looks like the photos on the right.
