Please Don't Eat the Daisies (1960)

"Please Don't Eat the Daisies" - This romantic comedy, starring Doris Day and David Niven and co-starring Richard Haydn, was based loosely on the book of the same title by Jean Kerr.

Went to theater to see this with my nieces Jenny and Betsy. We were laughing along when BAM! I don't think any of us realized before going that it was a drama. Such a fantastic and well-done movie, but it ripped our hearts out. I can still remember being exhausted when it was over. It's often on TV, but I've yet to watch more than a scene or two - maybe afraid it will wipe me out again?

Tears of Endearment ~ starring Shirley MacLaine, Debra Winger, & Jack Nicholson. This is another Mother Daughter movie, but I wish everyone a Mother like Shirley if you take ill.

The Goonies

The Goonies One of my all-time favorite movies as a kid. I remember watching it on the back porch of my great-uncle's house on the Ohio River with my cousins one summer. My whole family loves it and we have a recurring joke about "that kid from Goonies.

Love Nathan Lane - watched this lots of times - still giggling!

The Birdcage a Mike Nichols film with Robin Williams as a gay cabaret owner and his drag queen companion Nathan Lane agree to put up a false straight front for their son to introduce his fiancee's right-wing moralistic parents, Gene Hackman Dianne Wiest.

I’m pretty sure that I was born in the wrong decade. As I learned from VH1, I love the 80s! From the music and the movies to the clothes (okay maybe not all of the clothes, spandex is not a good look for anyone), I adore everything from the ‘80s. I think it was a fun decade, and I like to draw inspiration from the crazy clothes and cheesy music. Besides, who doesn't love Ferris Bueller?

Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986)

Ladies and gentlemen, you are such a wonderful crowd, we'd like to play a little tune for you. It's one of my personal favorites and I'd like to dedicate it to a young man who doesn't think he's seen anything good today - Cameron Frye, this one's for you.
