Another very attractive young women in the 1840s. Her ribbon collar and the matching cuffs are detatchable from the dress as are the sleeves. Dresses were necessarily versatile; I imagine for the average person their wardrobe was very spare. She is wearing a ring on both of her forefingers. (I have been trying to figure out the meaning of a ring on the forefinger in Victorian times. Every little thing had a meaning for them.)
