The Statue of Our Lady of Victories venerated at the Sanctuary Basilica of Our Lady's Nativity in Senglea, Malta where it has reputed to have been located since 1618 after it had been found floating amongst other wreckage and picked up in the Adriatic Sea.
Marija Bambina is in a niche high up behind the Papal Altar in the choir of the Basilica at Senglea, Malta where it has been since 17th century. Previously it was used as the decorative carving on the bow of a ship. It was picked it up from the sea where the wooden statue was floating. Two sailors from Senglea asked the captain of the galley for it and he gave it to them. When they returned to Senglea they gave it to FatherTalavera who accepted it.
