IT RAINS DIAMONDS ON SATURN AND JUPITER ~ Prepare your atmospheric space suit, because the combination of carbon and methane on the planets mix together to form dazzling drizzle that falls then melts back into the planets' hot cores. Such a shame.

Mass one-thousandth that of the Sun but is two and a half times the mass of all the other planets in our Solar System combined. Jupiter is classified as a gas giant along with Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.
Jupiter and its four planet-size moons, called the Galilean satellites, were photographed in early March by Voyager 1 and assembled into this collage. Jupiter has always been my favorite planet, i don't know why.
