The Alexander Palace: The Valet’s Room An oak partition separated Nicholas’s Dressing Room from the Valet’s Room where the Emperor’s valet on duty stayed. There stood a desk with a court events calendar, an errands register book and a telephone. The room was connected with the mezzanine level and underground floor. The room’s furnishings have not survived.
