Vishnu floating on the cosmic ocean which lies outside of time and space. He is slowly awakened from his dream by the massaging of his feet by Lakshami , his consort. This in turn stimulates  Brahma, the creator god, to grow from his navel.   It is Brahma who makes the various sequences of the world vision each of which will come to an end with Vishnu falling back to sleep as Brahma disappears into his navel once again.
