A 20-year old Nikolay II as a musketeer of the 17th century - the photo was taken on August 7th, 1888 before the court ball taken in the palace of his uncle, Grand Duke Vladimir. In his diary Nikolay II wrote that he loved this gown very much and it became his favorite one.
