Marquise de Caumont By Francois Hubert Drouais ~ 1727 - 1775. Eller inte. Mascara och ögonskugga?!

Marquise de Caumont By Francois Hubert Drouais ~ 1727 - 1775. Eller inte. Mascara och ögonskugga?!

18th century portrait of an aristocratic lady wearing a beautiful spring green silk gown. This is particularly interesting because of the large buttons and looped cord or ribbon on the front bodice. One rarely sees buttons on an 18th century ladies bodice unless they are very small covered silk which was used sometimes for front bodice closures in the late 18th century.
