Battle of the Bulge: Ardennes Offensive, the Allied Counter Attack 25 December 1944 - 28 January 1945: Belgian civilians carrying personal possessions flee as the Germans opened an artillery barrage against Langlir in an attempt to halt the American drive on Houffalize.

American POW soldiers held in Japanese prison camps were given hardly any food to keep alive. And the Japanese mixed saw dust in the food to make life long intestinal torture if the prisoner made it out alive from camp. Meanwhile, back home during WWII, USA sent the Japanese civilians in America to civilized camps with plenty of food, shelter, medical care etc... during war, to keep Americans safe from Japanese spies with any evil acts they may have planned on American soil.
