Jean-Baptiste Corot (July 16, 1796–Feb 22, 1875), French landscape painter and printmaker in etching. Corot was the leading painter of the Barbizon school of France in the mid-19th century. He is a pivotal figure in landscape painting and his vast output simultaneously references the Neo-Classical tradition and anticipates the plein-air innovations of Impressionism. He also did portraits, etchings, and pencil sketches.

Maurice de Vlaminck    (1876-1958). Maurice de Vlaminck (París, 4 de abril de 1876 - Eure-et-Loir, 11 de octubre de 1958) fue un pintor fauvista francés. Vlaminck fue uno de los pintores que causaron escándalo en el Salón de otoño de 1905, que recibió el apelativo de "jaula de fieras", dando nombre al movimiento del que formaba parte junto a Henri Matisse, André Derain, Raoul Dufy y otros.

Maurice de Vlaminck was a French painter. Along with André Derain and Henri Matisse he is considered one of the principal figures in the Fauve movement, a group of modern artists who from 1904 to 1908 were united in their use of intense color.
