Recorded Lesson: V-MAIL
Morale provided by letters from home to American soldiers who were fighting in foreign countries was irreplaceable during World War II. At this time U.S. post offices were flooded with mail and its bulk was competing with the space needed in transport vehicles for necessary military supplies. This created a huge problem of morale versus supplies; both critical to U.S. soldiers. In this program, students will learn how American ingenuity solved this problem through the invention of Victory Mail.
History Writing Prompts
History is all around us. Most of our cities and towns were settled hundreds of years ago and their important buildings (city hall/town hall, courthouse, library, churches and others) were the first to be built. These expository writing prompts on history will encourage students to study the past to better understand the future. #HistoryWritingPrompts #WritingPromptsAboutHistory
