Peony 'Door County Sunset'. Seidl. 1996. Beautiful single flowers that have a blend of sunset colors mixed together. Gorgeous advanced generation hybrid and easy to grow. Grows quickly and produces a spreading plant. Winter kill can happen, but plants quickly regrow from ground shoots to bloom in the same year. Excellent foliage. Cream base overlaid dusky rose, darker picottee and flares, single, up to 15 petals. (Seidl #11 x Golden Era) #11 is D223 x Chinese Dragon)
Peony 'Iphigenia'. Daphnis. 1977. (Daughter of Agamemnon). Single to semi- double, two rows of petals-inner row rise upward, bright clear red. Flowers present themselves by facing the viewer and are borne on sturdy stems. Extremely floriferous, rivaling suffruticosa flower production. Plants are mounded and do not become tall. Very good for us in the open field and as a landscape plant near our house. No fertility. A favorite. AGLH. (BC-2 x Daioh)
