Twitter door- have a laminated strip for every child and they get time to update status about something they learned, liked or happened during school that day! Interesting...

Texting Door- Students can text about what is happening. There are 30 laminated sentences strips so everyone (including me) has a place to "text" on the door.

I love this! Our class is really working on transitions. We do great until we have to move! Going to lunch, specials, even to the rug! *sigh* Hopefully something like this will help! We can use it for academic goals too!

A Formative Assessment Option.My solution was this: A composition notebook and quick formative assessments. The Strategy is one example of many formative assessments that I use in my classroom.

First Week of School Activities. I like the last two questions. Perhaps more questions geared towards kids' feelings about ur classes content area and/or learning. Examples: How does writing make u feel? When I read I feel? I think homework helps me, waste of time is hard, etc.
