Shopping for curtains and blinds — especially for small windows is one of my absolute least favorite things to do. I typically have an exact style in mind and I’m often disappointed at the lack luster findings at local stores.There’s really no need to express to you just how excited I was to come across this fantastically easy DIY curtain project. It doesn’t get much more stylishly simple that converting a wool blanket into a chic window covering.

Small pulleys roll the quilt up and out of the way.  Three thin boards (one at the top of the material and two tacked on either side of the bottom) will help keep the shade neatly rolled.
