Drive-In Reminiscing I saw this picture going around Facebook - does anyone remember these? Well, as a child of the 60’s and 70’s, I sure do!! In fact, I’m lucky to live near a place where these are still being used – the Drive-In movie theater. The antique looking speakers are still in position at one of the few drive-in theaters we have left in Minnesota.
Steve Gross' Frontier Town, North Hudson, NY Web Site
Frontier Town was a Wild West Theme Park in the Adirondack region of Upstate New York (North Hudson, to be exact - north of Lake George). It opened on July 4, 1952 and, except for a few years in the 1980s, remained open until 1998. Best memories I have from here is during the rodeo, when the MC tied a $10 bill (US) to a calf's tail and challenged the kids to see who would be first to get it.
