Fasule ~ 1 can of tomato sauce (or several grated tomatoes), 1 1/2 lb of great northern beans, 1 large yellow onion, 1-2 TBSP olive oil, water (as much as needed to make it soup), salt and pepper to taste.  Soak the beans over night to lessen the cooking time.  Dice the onion and saute them with olive oil.  Grate the tomatoes (leave the skins).  When the onions are clear they are ready.  Add beans, onions, tomato sauce, water and salt and pepper into the pot.  Boil until beans are done.
