I’ve always dreamt of taking a magic carpet ride over Morocco, so when I was invited to take a hot air balloon flight over Marrakech it was like a dream come true. We started the morning at 6.30am in order to get to the balloon port before sunrise. We were greeted by open fires and much needed morrocan tea, then it was all aboard the balloon! It was so magical gliding high in the sky, above Berber villages, red desert sands and the Atlas Mountains, with a view of Marrakech medina in the distance
