Why Do We Dream
I look into theories and models about why humans dream.
While researching, I found lots of similarities in information that I originally found while looking at this topic. I didn't find any different or controversial information in public readings, but I did find useful opinions and supplementary information that I had not found in the past. I definitely liked the information i found from databases the best, but articles from WebMD and videos from youtube also seemed very reliable, they just didn't have as much in-depth information. - COMMENTARY
This board talks a lot about the Freud model of wish fulfillment. The brain dreams about things it cannot have in reality. Also, this board looks at the activation synthesis model which is the brain looking trying to make connections of neural activity during sleep. Another few topics this board covers is that we dream because we are consolidating long term memory and preparing for scenarios that we haven't faced in awhile.
